While issues such as tripped breakers and beeping smoke detectors can be resolved over the phone, under no circumstances should you try to troubleshoot your residential electrical system on your own. You should call a licensed electrician whenever you have an electrical problem, both for your personal safety and so that your home's electrical system remains up to code.
Yes, we regularly install owner-supplied lighting and other fixtures like fans. However, we are unable to warranty parts not supplied by us. That means if the part fails and you need us to return to repair the issue, our labour is not covered and you will be invoiced for our electrician's time. Also, if you hope to install the light where there is none currently, holes will need to be made in your ceiling and Peel Electric is not responsible for repair but can arrange for this repair through our contractor network - a separate fee will apply. Peel Electric supplied parts and materials are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty for 2 years after installation. However, there are exceptions and some products have known issues. If you call us out to your home to diagnose an issue and we diagnose it to be User Error, you will be charged for the service call visit. Our electricians offer a walkthrough at the end of each appointment to show you how to use your new electrical fixtures, plugs and switches. Please talk with your electrician to take note of known issues and how best to avoid them so that you can problem solve first before incurring return charges.
